baby growing: week 21

Terribly sorry for the dressing room selfie. I realized yesterday afternoon while out shopping that I didn't have Ben snap a picture this week, so I took matters into my own hands. We like to keep things classy around here. ;)
week 21 // 9-24-15

How far along? 21 weeks.

How big is baby? The size of a pomegranate.

Total weight gain? 10.5 pounds.

Maternity clothes? Some! I went through my closet and pulled out all of my clothes that no longer fit but I still have a decent amount of shirts and sweaters that will cover the bump for now.

Sleep? Still sleeping well. I've been sleeping with a pillow between my knees/propping up my stomach for the last few weeks and that really helps to keep me from rolling over onto it (I'm a stomach sleeper)(I get nauseous with anything too tight/pushing on my stomach), but I do wake up each time I want to switch sides.

Food cravings? A few times this week I wanted a big juicy hamburger with lots of ketchup. Although I did cave and get a burger for lunch one day, I realized it was mostly the ketchup that I wanted. After a doctor's appointment this week, Ben and I swung by Chick-fil-A and got some chicken strips (ehh, chicken!) which, surprisingly, wasn't awful with lots of ketchup and Chick-fil-A sauce.

Food aversions? Still not a big fan of chicken.

Movement? Yes! Light movements here and there.

Belly button in or out? In.

Weird pregnancy things? Forehead acne. Boo. According to a Chinese acne "face map," forehead acne can be caused by a bad temper. Heaven knows I haven't been the coolest cucumber these last few months. :) My heartburn has also become a tad bit annoying and made me throw up this week, but I happened to find the most amazing antacid chewables ever! Walmart brand, wintergreen flavor. They taste like candy, which I'm all for.

Best moment this week? Meeting with the new doctor and really liking her! This week I also heard quite a few "I probably shouldn't ask this, but are you pregnant?" type of questions. I'm counting it as one of the best moments this week because it's a nice feeling to know people can tell it's a human baby and not just a hamburger baby baking in there!
